Hi,
Who are you staying with in the U.K? Are you planning on playing polocrosse? No the thing is there isn't really any serious polocrosse near you. You will find the place to go if either in the midlands, (arden, welsh dragons, croome, centaur) or a bit further south liscombe and kent. Or there is always just pennine in Yorkshire up north. If you want to play seriously i am sure there are a couple of clubs in need for some players to make up teams. What sort of standard playing are you?

my advice would be to put a notice on the UKPA website- www.polocrosse.org.uk. To see if any clubs need players and may take you on.
The season properly starts the end of May, June, there is then squad training way before that for our under 21s test against zim so i'm sure stuff will be going on before that!
Hope thats some help
