My name is Lauren Watson and I go to the American International School of Lusaka. I will be moving up into Secondary 5 next term and during the year we are expected to organize our own personal project, which will be the major project of the MYP program preparing me for the IB diploma. I have chosen to organize a polocrosse tournament and I will donate the proceeds to the police horses that not only do polo crosse, but jumping and dressage as well as police work.
This tournament is a theme tournament, completely different to what most of us are used to. I will need all the names and handicaps of all players wanting to participate by September 1st. I will organise you into equally handicapped teams of upper and lower divisions. I will also give you three themes to choose from for your team, (ie Flintstones, Ireland, Halloween) and you will be expected to dress up according to your theme.
At the end of the weekend there will be a prize for the best dressed team, winning team, runners up, and other fun and spot prizes.
There will be good food by Izzy and bar facilities available all weekend.
There will be a raffle with first prize being a weekend for two at KASAKA RIVER LODGE including flights to and from the valley by PROFLIGHT.
Raffle tickets at K 10,000 each will be on sale prior to the tournament as well as on the day.
