The Irish Polocrosse Association (IPA) is looking forward to kicking off their 2010 season in style with another significant milestone for the growing sport.
There has been a big resurgence in the game of Polocrosse in recent seasons and a testament to this is the announcement of the first ever IPA sanctioned Polocrosse tournament in association with Horse Sport Ireland. The inaugural IPA tournament in Northern Ireland has been made possible by the kind permission of Mr. David Corbett at Tyrella Estates, Tyrella, Co. Down.
Polocrosse is beginning to gain momentum in Northern Ireland with the support, guidance and training from the IPA. Team members of the Tyrella club have been well received at competitions by the clubs in Ireland and the Co. Down club are looking forward to hosting clubs from all over Ireland at the tournament in Tyrella. There will be a full event schedule on both days over the weekend with the action starting by 10:00am each day. Competitors at all age levels will be participating, from juniors all the way up to the more "seasoned" veterans. Visitors are welcome to come and watch the matches and tournament organisers will be on hand for those looking for more information. |
