UK v Zimbabwe - Brothers go Head to Head today in World Cup When thirty-eight year old Jason Burbidge leads his UK World Cup team onto the field today in Queensland, he will go head to head with his younger brother Shannon (34) who captains the Zimbabwe team.
At stake for the siblings and their teams, will be the prospect of wrestling the Ridley Polocrosse World Cup title from Australia, who beat the Kiwis in a classic trans Tasman final in 2003. However, there are nineteen international matches to be played at Morgan Park Warwick before the 2007 cup final on Sunday 29 April. The first match gets underway today at 10am after the official opening by the Governor-General at 9am. Today's matches: - New Zealand v Ireland - 10am
- Australia v USA - 12noon
- South Africa v Canada - 1.30pm
- Zimbabwe v UK - 3pm
