On-line polling is being introduced today ahead of this year's Polocrosse World Cup which kicks off in Queensland in 99 days from today.

The web-based initiative will pose a total of 11 brief questions which will be introduced progressively over a fifteen week period. The questions include some to help organisers, such as where visitors will purchase tickets and what interest there is in official merchandise. It also includes the popular question at stable doors and bar rooms: who will make the final and which country will win the prestigious world cup.

Ridley Polocrosse World Cup Deputy Chairman Charlie Brook said that the on-line polling will be hosted through the event's online promotional partner www.polocrosse.net from today (13 January). It will also be accessible through a new "HAVE YOUR SAY" link on the official world cup website www.polocrosse.com.au/worldcup.

Mr Brook said this was another new frontier for Polocrosse, which is receiving increased profile ahead of the world cup which gets underway at Morgan Park, Warwick from April 23.

He added, "Obviously we are encouraging those genuinely interested in the sport and the event to participate in these surveys. We expect that the results of these polls will also be useful in our pre-event public relations and marketing."
