On-line: Harnessing the power of the Internet we have just formed an on-line partnership with one of the sport's pioneers in on-line marketing: www.polocrosse.net. The site has a large and loyal audience and the partnership includes a number of reciprocal links; some shared content such as news, reference information and links; plus on-line polling.
The equestrian fraternity has also embraced the opportunity to spread the word about the World Cup with a growing number of specialist equestrian magazines and associations adding links from their websites to us. Particular thanks to Polo Australia who is amongst those helping to raise awareness within their ranks. If you see a site where we should be, please email
Volunteers: The volunteer recruitment drive is well underway with the initial focus for 100 horse handlers. Other volunteers will be required in catering, ground care, ticketing, administration and in the information and media centre. All volunteers will take home unforgettable memories of this world-class sporting event. For eligibility, benefits and how to apply see www.polocrosse.com.au/worldcup/about_volunteers.htm.
Horses: The historic national horse recruitment drive is in full swing with official horse selectors Kent Wells and Neville Gilpin having attended the national titles in NSW as well as major carnivals in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
