ZIM ZAM 2006

Choma Polocrosse Club hosted this year's Zim Zam and did a very fine job of it too! Kobil and Zambian Breweries were the main sponsors of thwe event.

Zimbabwe managed to walk away with the cup for the second year in a row but although their Men's A and B division beat us (but only marginally on the last day!), our ladies A division: Vicky Sharp, Rachael Howard, Lauren Watson, Penny Counsell, Catherine Van Aardt, Stacey Smith and Lilo Marohn came up trumps against the Zim ladies side winning two of the three tests.

Zimbabwe did not send a national kids side but the kids from the Bulawayo Polocrosse Club in great torquoise colours played exceptionally well against the Zambian under 16's - Jochem Elsinga, Jed Henning, Henry Beckett and Lenore Finnaughty - and under 14's national side - Rinse Elsinga, Michaela Van Aardt, Lucy Beckett and Daniel Nel - but the Zambian kids won all three of their tests.
