ZONE NEWS

2001 Zone Polocrosse Series
Rookie Australian Stock Horse
Mens, Ladies & Juniors

The Australian Stock Horse Society will again be running the above competition, however there are two major changes:

  • There will be NO Open Horse competition.
  • There will be NO nomination fee and the players will nominate directly with the Zone Secretary (Odette Neumann 6238 2300)

CANBERRA SHOW EXHIBITION GAMES

INTERMEDIATE MIXED
24 - 25 FEBRUARY

The Zones competing for the Max Walters Trophy this year are South West Slopes, Central West, Northwest Plains and Southern Highlands.
 
The Southern Highlands players competing are:
 
Belinda Anderson, Paul Lawton, Sarah O'Brien, Ashley Mathie, Alison Mathie, Anthony Yeo & Kristen Thistleton (for CW)
Reserves: Belinda Hallam & Wade Mathie

A reminder that the Zone will be required to supply a total of 30 horses. At this stage two clubs have come forward with an undertaking to supply seven horses. Only 23 to go!

CLUB NEWS

Change of Carnival
LAKE GEORGE - Moruya

The Club has advised that their Moruya carnival scheduled for 30 June & 1 July will now be held at Easter on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th April. The venue for the carnival will be the 3-day event equestrian park located approximately 3 kms south of Moruya.
 
Players are invited to play polocrosse on the Friday & Saturday, visit the Moruya Rodeo on the Sunday, then enjoy a few hours at the beach on the Monday before going home - how many pleasures can you pack into Easter?
 
At this stage Lake George's other carnival (28-29 April) has been suspended due to Elite Coaching Camp which overlaps that weekend. Details to be advised at a later date.

VALENTINE'S BALL

SATURDAY 17th FEB. 2001

The Bungendore Club will be holding it's annual "Valentine's Day Ball" at the showground on 17th February 2001.

7.30 for 8 pm
