Web sites of interest. Is your horse an ex-race horse? Many horses in Zambia were bought off Zimbabwean and South African race tracks as 3 - 4 year olds by polo players and then later moved onto to polocrosse. If you would like to know if your horse is one of these, go to www.aro.co.za. Under "South Africa" on the left ,click "breeding" and punch in your horse's name in the box. (It has to be his full registered name and must be spelt right!) When it is found you will see his year of birth, sire and dam. For more info on your horse, click on the Sire's name and scroll down to the year of birth of your horse, find your horse's name and it will tell you what races he ran and how well he did. If you find that there are a few horses with the same name, check for the SA born ones and the date of birth and you should be able to figure out which is yours. If you do find your horse on here please send your Club Secretary the year of his birth to check / update the pony register. Other sites - www.polocrosse.net. Also, go to Google and search for Polocrosse Worldwide. Zambia features on both of them. Karen Clements is currently designing a web site for us and this shall be linked to others. Hopefully we shall be able to give you these details in the next newsletter!
