Zambian Polocrosse News - 1 News from Murray in Oz! As you all should know, Zambia’s very own Murray Evans from Livingstone, was chosen out of 438 candidates world wide, to go to Victoria, Australia, live with the Marriott family for the season and play in Australian tournaments! Murray left early in January shortly after his 18th birthday (on New Years day!) and we have received our first news of him recently from his host, Jeremy Marriott.
Jeremy writes:
Hi Guys,
Just a short note to keep you all in the loop Murray arrived safe and well (and a little tired) on Thursday night. He had a few little problems with bags being left in Jo Burg and missing connecting flights in Perth but all in all, he is here.
I am sure he has been in contact with you already, however, for those that have not spoken with him he went to his first practice on Sunday and I think (I hope) he liked the horse he rode. I expect he will play it this weekend at the first tournament.
I will keep you all in the loop as things progress, however, I am sure Murray will submit the odd report to keep you all updated.
Kindest regards Jeremy Marriott
Jeremy Marriott before he hit the deck!!! (Not true!) How he managed to rectify himself from this position is hard to say!!! Murray will have to teach us these tricks next year!
