Club teams from the Great Southern and Central Zones once again drove north and reaching the end of the Brand Highway, most horse trucks turned off to the right, instead of the usual left, and headed towards Mingenew for the Irwin Polocrosse Tournament.

SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS ZONE CARNIVAL

The Southern Highlands 2009 season wrapped up with a zone carnival at the Bong Bong grounds on 20 & 21 June. Despite a wet and bitterly cold weekend everyone enjoyed themselves with the highlight of the carnival being the Saturday Sundown Shoot-Out Competition.

The Greenough Polocrosse Tournament in Western Australia held on the weekend of July 25th & 26th 2009.

With sunshine forecast and lovely, green fields (which was fantastic to see!!) the Greenough Tournament drew quite a large number of teams, 36 in total. There were 6 teams in the A Grade and a massive 10 in the C Grade which must have been quite a nightmare for the club to organise games and a draw! But everything ran quite smoothly with just a slight drizzle of rain on Saturday morning, just to keep the dust down!
